When the word pearl comes to mind, we usually think of the color white. Pearls often come in pearly white spheres but it is quite a surprise to some people that there are pearls in other colors.

 

Pearls never fail to make an impression on a woman’s outfit. Traditionally, people may find white as the go-to color but when you want to give a more exciting addition to your jewelry collection, colored pearls are key.

 

Golden South Sea. This is a rare and very costly type of pearl which comes from the gold-lipped oyster and are only found in some parts of the world.

 

Natural Blue Akoya. Another extremely rare pearl, Natural Blue Akoya pearls were deemed as outcasts of the pearl industry because of their irregular shape and different tone. Now they are sought after by pearl enthusiasts.     

 

Pink Pearls. Valued in the United States, pink pearls are among the rarest natural pearls. These pearls are created by the endangered queen conch snail and have not been successfully cultured as of the moment. Hence, pink pearls on the market are dyed freshwater pearls.

Gold Pearls. Denoting wealth, class, and luxury, gold pearls are definitely one of the most expensive pearls. If you want to add a bit of sparkle to your look but still maintain a sense of elegance, then this pearl is for you.

 

Pink Pearls. Think feminine and delicateness and pink pearls spring to mind. Pink pearls or pearls with strong pink overtones symbolize romance and softness and are very rare.

 

Purple Pearls. Representing nobility, prestige, and royalty, purple pearls make you feel regal when donning them. These pearls signify wisdom, creativity, and education. Just like pink pearls, purple pearls are also very rare and finding one is a real treasure!

 

Blue Pearls. Epitomizing tranquility, truth, and bravery, blue pearls are soothing to the eyes and have a striking iridescence about them. They can be great gifts for people who are experiencing rough situations and need encouragement and strength.
